The OG Crew
We met in college almost 30 years ago and have loved each other since. Life has pulled us in different directions but our friendships have remained strong. Through husbands, jobs, moves to different cities, and kids, we’ve remained connected. Life is hectic and we missed the days of laying on an air mattress like a pile of puppies and watching Gilmore Girls. Our book club has helped us connect with each other in new ways and we want to share that with other people looking for ways to find time for one another.
With a bachelor’s degree in English and 20+ years in education, Jillion has always loved literature and her community. After having her son, she was thrilled to find she could connect with her friends while doing the two things she loves most: spending time with her family and reading. She has been known to pick books that make the other club members uncomfortable and often receives text messages in all CAPS about said books.

A background in Communications and deep roots in community work, she adds whimsy and pizazz to our book club (and socials.) With wanderlust in her heart she finds joy going on adventures with her husband and two sons. Her book picks lean towards artsy fiction or non-fiction. Also, has the neatest writing in the bookclub.

Melissa Lyons
Twenty years of teaching and raising two independent children has her lean towards light-hearted fun reads. She likes to text book club members as she is reading their pick to discuss the book, she also likes to scare the other book club members about Jill’s books because she’s the first to get them.

Cassie West
Teaching high school English and being full time Uber driver for her two kids keeps her pretty busy but she is always good for a solid Lit Fic pick for book club and has been known to send her next pick months early. Definitely writes the most thoughtful comments of the group, and probably the one that most overthinks what book she should pick next.
