Sucks to be them…

As I’m reading The Art Thief, the last book in this rotation. I’m finding it fascinating. Kind of like a real life “Ocean’s 11” type situation. And then I’m thinking about how I probably wouldn’t have picked this book for myself. I would have picked it up, read the back, contemplated it, and then put it back. Being a part of the book club has forced me to read books I wouldn’t have picked for myself. I guess that’s true of all book clubs. I’m arguably the most unreliable member of Marked and Mailed. If it’s a book that I don’t want to read, I put it off as long as I can. I ask for a deadline so that I know I have to finish it. I have finished at least one book in the parking lot of the post office two days after I said I would mail it.  My family and I have ruined one of the books and damaged the other with water. I have a sleeve that I’m supposed to keep it in so that another one doesn’t get ruined. I’ve taken one on vacation with me (ridiculous and hopeful in the first place) and almost left it at the hotel. But, I’m doing it until they kick me out. Which they can’t so…sucks to be them.
