An accidental re-read

We (my family and I) went to our local smalltown bookstore yesterday. More than once Margie has ordered me a book, or two, that I needed/wanted. When my son was younger, he would go in just to play with the wooden train set that is specifically set up so parents can look for their book, puzzle, or game. We’ve bought Halloween costumes there that later became play outfits. With everyone in my family reading and it being required of both kids every night, I often have to read after they go to bed or before they wake up. Sometimes I read in the dark during my perimenopause wake-up at 3 am. This week I was reading a book called The Ex-Vows by Jessica Joyner during one of those wakeups on my phone. (I still haven’t finished reading The Art Thief but I couldn’t turn on the light.) I got a couple chapters in and started thinking, “This sounds familiar.” I kept reading and realized that I had in fact read this book before. A few years ago. During perimenopause wake-ups. So I’m re-reading it since I remember liking it and can read it in the dark. Anyway, I went in to see what used books they have because I don’t need anymore books and my family came along. Luke found a Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Sutton got a used $10 book about Yellowstone because that’s where we’re going for her Fourth Grade Pass trip. I got nothing because I remembered that I have 6 books on my nightstand, 1 in Audible, and that I need to finish setting up Libby by getting my library card from when I was a kid. I’ll keep going on The Art Thief, I have 5 more days until I have to mail it. Maybe I should tell myself that I have to mail it tomorrow since we have 3 soccer games this week…
