The only character I think I will take with me and think about in the future is the crow, the spotted crow, the one constant through all three timelines. I’ve always loved ravens and, honestly, crows are close enough for me, so I will think about that murderous crow. She was so loyal and focused. And unfortunately the most mysterious and interesting character.

However, this book made me realize something: I think reading dark, twisty, messed up literature is good for my mental health. That seems counterintuitive, right? But I think when I read things that are too close to real life situations that I can easily put myself in, I do just that: I put myself in the situations.
